Beth Baker is an extraordinary nurse. Beth has been part of the St. Jude family for many years. She has worked in numerous areas and brings expertise to her field through her expansive experience. Beth is such a team player. She is always willing to help in whatever capacity she is needed. She volunteered a few years back to be a part of the PUP (Pressure Ulcer Prevention) wound care champions team. Beth is our most consistent volunteer. She is always willing to help and goes above and beyond with each survey. She is always willing to see as many patients as needed and keeps such a positive attitude. No matter how stressful a situation gets, she keeps everyone smiling with her sense of humor and down to earth personality. With our past survey, we had no volunteers to help the wound care team assess every inpatient on the survey day. Beth was staffing that day on her unit, but offered to help with the survey on her pod in addition to taking care of her assigned patients. She is always willing to lend a hand to someone in need. She is truly deserving of the DAISY Award and such a wonderful coworker, nurse and employee of this hospital.
