Our family met Beth after being at the hospital (including the ICU) for 5 days. My husband and I were overwhelmed, tired, and heartbroken because our 6-week-old son was severely ill with RSV. Beth came in and was confident, steadfast, and knowledgeable – her ability to simultaneously calm us while providing exceptional care to our son is unmatched. Beth could tell that our journey had been a long, trying one so she checked on us often, took the time to explain each aspect of his care, and even taught us some helpful techniques that we could continue when we got home. When it came time for us to be discharged, we were relieved and excited to go home, but we were also sad to be leaving Beth and her calming presence. Since getting home, my husband and I have had many conversations about our experience at Golisano and our sentiment consistently goes back to the exceptional care we received from all the doctors and nurses, especially Beth. We have vowed to make a yearly donation to the hospital that took such wonderful care of our baby. Beth deserves all the awards and recognition one can receive. Any family would be lucky to have her as their nurse!
