Beth shifted into the frame of mind to deliver K, and moments later, we welcomed our daughter to the world.
I came in to be induced on a Saturday morning. I had two wonderful nurses caring for me. They got me set up and started my induction. One of my twins, K, was hard to get a monitor on due to her constant movement. The nurses worked hard to get her heart rate, spending lots of time adjusting monitors. Beth came in to help and was quickly able to get her heart rate. By 11 am, I had received an epidural, had my water broken, and had an ultrasound indicating both babies were head down. I was only dilated to a 2, so the staff left to give me time to progress. At 12:30, I began feeling discomfort and pressure, so I changed positions to see if I could get more comfortable. The discomfort only worsened, so we called a nurse in to check on me. From there, things moved quickly and we realized P, my baby A was ready to be born. The whole team of nurses was there in moments and Beth quickly delivered my son. Then a few minutes later, my daughter's feet were felt by Beth and she was quickly entering the birth canal. Beth tried to hold her off and wait for the doctor to arrive, but it was quickly apparent that that was not an option. Beth shifted into the frame of mind to deliver K, and moments later, we welcomed our daughter to the world. I am so grateful for Beth's skill and care as she delivered our twins and also performed her first footling breech delivery. It was a big day and I could not have been more thankful for the wonderful care we received from all of the nursing staff.
