I had an epiphany while at work the other day! While working with my "partner in crime", I realized something about this wonderful nurse I was working with. This isn't a story about one particular incident or one particular patient. This is the story of a great nurse who comes to work every day with a smile on her face, a chuckle in her belly, and compassion in her heart. Beth not only cares for her patients consistently superior, but this wonderful nurse exemplifies holistic nursing to the max degree. You see, Beth comes in every day caring for her patients in the here and now, she is present with her patients even though she may have been kept up all night by her 8-year-old special needs daughter. Every day, Beth leaves all the "stuff" and practices caring for her patients in the present. Beth personifies holistic nursing at its' finest which is why I nominate her for this award.
