November 2015 Honoree
beth koperdak, BSN, RN
...our daughter was in a great deal of pain after her surgery. The Anesthesiologist told us her pain was "normal" and cleared her to go home. She was in tears and nauseous after 4 hours of pain mediation with no relief. Beth advocated for her to be admitted to a room where she could receive the medication and follow up care she needed.
We appreciated Beth's efforts to stand up to the doctor and advocate for the needs of her patient! Due to Beth's efforts, our daughter was moved to an inpatient room where she received excellent care for another two days. It took courage and heart to disagree with the doctor and we think Beth should be recognized for her excellent work!

Thank you, Beth, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
