I was a patient at Progress West. This was my first interaction with the hospital other than the ER. Beth
was my day nurse. She acknowledged I was an RN, but treated me as the patient. She explained
procedures as needed. Beth was kind, caring and compassionate. She stayed on top of my pain, making recommendations
to ensure all my need were met.I'm sure you may be saying this is what you expect of all your nurses, but we both know it doesn't always happen. I have beenin healthcare for 40 years. Due to my husband's illness, I have had interactions with many healthcare facilities in the St.Louis area, most positive, some not. What was important to me was that I was the "patient" and was treated as such. Beth didn't assume because I was an RNthat I knew it all. I had a very positive stay
