My mother was life-flighted here for a specific spinal surgery. Some shocking news came from that surgery, and Beth became our light during that dark time. We both wanted to stay but my dad could not sit on a bench all night. It was getting dark, and Dad needed to go or commit to staying as we live a long distance away. She heard our story and the events that took place at the end of her surgery. She was compassionate and kind when talking to me. She went above and beyond to help us secure a spot for Dad to rest, me to shower and take a moment as father and daughter to make a plan of attack, and most importantly allow ourselves a moment to be upset at the new challenge we faced. She is a hero. She helped take care of my mom, and she helped my dad and me as we were suddenly in crisis. She deserves to be recognized. She truly went above her job when she saw we needed a little kindness. A touch of human kindness that was very appreciated. I am so thankful for my new best friend. Mom had her spinal surgery, and they removed the cancer, but we are still in the ICU.
