I came in for an endoscopy and colonoscopy. Prior to the procedure, the doctors found out that my potassium was very low and it was determined that I would go to the E.D. for a transfusion. That is where the trouble started, despite prior phone calls and arrangements. The ED staff did not have a place for me. They determined I would wait in the lobby despite being in a gown and with an IV. Beth decided that was unacceptable and brought me back upstairs. I changed and went back down where I ended up waiting for 4 hours. She checked on me twice while I waited and got me water. She also lent me her charging cord, realizing I'd soon have no distractions at all. In short, she was a bright light on an otherwise awful day. I appreciate her.
