Beth Yule and her husband were on a mini-vacation to Cabela's in Woodbury when she spotted an older man who was sweating and unable to stand. Yule went over to help and was informed by his daughter that he has had heart problems in the past. She remained calm as she checked the man's vision, strength and speech until paramedics arrived on the scene.
"You don't pass up someone who needs your help," Beth says. "I think all nurses have that in them." Beth appreciates her co-workers for everything they have taught her. "There's always a 'what if' scenario in your head, and it helps knowing you have the confidence to step in and help," she says.
The man's family members were so grateful for her presence and help that they wrote a letter to Mayo Clinic Health System in Eau Claire describing her as an angel.
