My daughter, L, fell off her bike and broke her wrist. I took her to the ER and Bethann Groot RN gave excellent care to my L and managed to find time to occupy my younger daughter too. She wheeled her in a wheelchair around the emergency room, while I went to L's X-ray. She was very attentive and recognized my distress. She gave me comfort by explaining the process and procedure. She kept me updated on the plan of actions by the MDs. Even though I am a nurse myself I have worked in the same ER, I am the mother in this situation.
I found it very comforting that the nurse was walking me through the process, told me what to expect and have answered all my questions. I am very proud to be working with this kind of compassionate and knowledgeable nurse. My daughter is very grateful for the extraordinary care she received.
