I want to share my amazing experience as a patient in the ICU at Roseville Kaiser. I spent a challenging seven days in the ICU due to acute hypoxic respiratory failure, which required crucial mechanical ventilation support. As a critical care registered nurse and an ICU assistant manager at South Sacramento Kaiser, this experience was both exceptional and demanding. I was fortunate to have Bethanny Murray as my day shift nurse during my time in the ICU. Her exceptional patience, compassion, and attentive care made a remarkable impact. Bethanny took the time to thoroughly explain the medications and their side effects, and she skillfully coordinated my care with interdisciplinary teams, such as a physical therapist and dietitian. Her unwavering encouragement and advocacy for me to walk while on the mechanical ventilator were incredibly helpful and motivating. Bethanny's support extended beyond just me; she also showed kindness towards my wife and children, keeping them informed and comforted throughout the process. Bethanny was not just a nurse to me but a true beacon of hope for my entire family. Her exceptional care impacted my experience in the Roseville ICU and left an indelible mark on my journey.
