Bethany Chaney, RN

Bethany encourages coworkers daily to practice professionalism and compassion through their nursing practices. Our department had a young mother who was four weeks postpartum. She came in with a significant life-threatening medical issue and had her newborn baby with her. The mother was in pain, and the baby was inconsolable. Bethany, who was charge RN at the time, facilitated diaper changes, feedings, and care for the baby while mom was getting treated in the ED and after so that mom could rest and heal.
