During my inpatient stay, I received excellent patient care. The first night of my stay I met Bethany. She was very polite, knowledgeable, and professional. She did a wonderful job. She constantly checked on me, provided my meds on time, always asking if there was anything else I needed, and if so just let her know. She was very personable. I felt like I knew her from the past. Right before her shift change I experienced a great deal of discomfort and pain. I pressed the nurse call button and she came right away. It was not quite time for my pain medication. She saw how much pain I was in. It was as if she could feel my pain. She was very empathetic. She could have said it's not time for pain meds, just give it a little time, but she didn't. She made the decision to call my doctor and get it approved for me to get meds that made me feel better immediately. It's not just what she did, but it was how she did what she did.
