Bethany goes above and beyond for her patients. Nurses have seen her stroke a confused elderly woman's hair and make "cocktails" of sprite and cranberry juice for the man who has no idea where he is and has no family to visit him. The nominator had even seen Bethany wash and braid the hair of those who cannot do it for themselves. The nominator said, "I have seen Bethany give every ounce of love and compassion that she has to offer to the most critically ill patients who need it most. And on the night I was in the hospital, during one of the darkest times of my life, I saw an angel. I know this nurse doesn't do any of the things they do for the recognition, but I have never met someone so deserving of it."
