Our son has a respiratory condition and severe autism. He is a regular patient on Ward 16 and recently spent over 2 weeks there. Our time on Ward 16 was made so much better by all the staff, including doctors, nurses, students, physiotherapists, HCAs, and other staff on the ward. However, we want to say a special thank you to the exceptional care provided by Ward Sister/nurse in charge, Beth Goodman. She truly embodies the UHCW Trust values, making a difficult situation so much easier to navigate. Beth is always transparent about our son's treatment plan and what to expect each day. She is always willing to answer our questions and to keep the family informed of any changes, which gives us all a great sense of reassurance.

She actively involves us in decisions about our son's care, respecting our wishes and working with us to create a nursing plan that was right for our son's needs. It felt like we were a team, and that partnership made all the difference. Every task was performed with a high degree of skill, and she consistently went above and beyond to ensure our son was comfortable and well cared for.
