Bethany J Johnsen, RN
Beth is such a spunky, jovial, and caring individual. We could hear her voice coming down the hall, and we watched and hoped she would pop in. And many times, she would! She brightens a room and makes S's day better just by being around and being his nurse. She is the truest of true cheerleaders and a champion for patients and families and their unique circumstances.
Beth made it so we could have a "double date" with my sister and her boyfriend and let us sit at a table in the general waiting area. What's more, when we were mostly done, Beth came and sat and chatted with all of us. Who does that? Beth does! She just feels like family. Her connection with her patients seems very genuine and heartfelt. She is a true Champion at OSF.
We also loved that K was a student with her on Saturday. I truly believe K got to see the best; she will never learn how to make connections from a class or a book. She saw the best firsthand. You are so lucky to have Beth as part of your OSF family.
