No matter what the situation is, Bethany faces it head on with the utmost professionalism. There are many ways that Bethany is a team player and will always lend you a helping hand. Whether it be when there is a staffing need of unlicensed assistive personnel and she begins taking vitals, washing and/or showering patients or just answering call bells to insure patient safety and satisfaction.
Today especially stands out because she was assigned an extremely difficult patient that many staff have been struggling with and the patient has continued to refuse care from the staff. Bethany went into the room with pure confidence and no pre-conceived notions about the patient's prior behaviors. The ease of which she redirected and handled the patient's outbursts of negativity was inspiring. Bethany was able to accomplish and grant all the patient's requests and needs to her satisfaction, by taking the time to truly listen to the patient and care for her needs. The patient was accepting of Bethany and really appreciated her care that she had received and expressed her gratitude towards Bethany.
Bethany is an outstanding, professional, compassionate nurse whom many look up to on the unit. Her patients and fellow staff members are lucky to have her on their team.
