Bethany was there a few hours after I found out I had to be induced due to preeclampsia. She immediately recognized me and my husband from when I was in triage at only 9 weeks pregnant (which was the scariest moment of my life because we thought we were losing the baby). Bethany was there to provide support and encouragement during that scary time, then ended up being our nurse again as I was going into labor! The fact that she remembered me from months ago made me feel special and like I really mattered as a person, not just a patient. Bethany went above and beyond, taking the time to answer every last one of our questions and explain things as my labor progressed.

She has the sweetest, most positive personality, and that helped make my labor a wonderful experience. She truly felt like family and took such good care of me, my baby, and my husband. When I found out I needed to have an unplanned c-section, Bethany was there, reassuring me that everything was going to be ok. She helped me through my low points and made my time at women’s and babies a rewarding experience. She offered different options when it came to laboring positions and did everything she could to make me feel calm and comfortable. We loved chatting with her and getting to know her better. Her bedside manner is lovely, and we bonded over being cat people.

Words cannot express how thankful I am for Bethany and the exceptional care she provided for us. She truly has a gift and deserves to be celebrated! Please honor her with this award!
