June 2018 Honoree
bethany pryor, RN, BSN
Bethany was the nurse for a patient who acutely developed life-threatening septic shock. This was likely the sickest patient in the hospital at the time. BP 50/30, HR 170's, sat 80%. She calmly and professionally assisted the MICU team in a very smooth resuscitation. She assisted with numerous producers, gave complicated stat medications, and observed the patient's hemodynamics closely with a skill and efficiency years beyond her experience. Because of her quick actions, this patient stabilized. They survived this life-threatening event due to her critical care. This was truly an exceptionally dire situation and she did an amazing job.
Thank you, Bethany, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
