My husband was in ICU/PCU due to heart failure. The weeklong stay was incredibly taking on both my husband and I. Daily procedures, surgeries, numerous blood draws each day.

Bethany, from the time she walked into my husband's room to the time her 12-hour shift was over that she had with us, felt like family. She felt like someone we had known all of our lives. She was kind, gentle, attentive, and knew how to do her job well. She showed a level of compassion that exceeded the other care that was received in our stay at ICU/PCU

She exudes selflessness, compassion, and love for her patients and her work. She navigated well with other staff, always having an upbeat and chipper attitude. In all the years of hospital stays, my husband said she made him feel most safe and at home. Bethany's way of caring for patients is something really special.

My husband went into surgery, I walked down to the cafeteria to wander around - Bethany was down there to greet me, ask how my husband was, ask for an update, bought me a smoothie and walked me back up to ICU visiting as if we've always known one another.

Having that kind of connection with people, especially during hard times, is such a wonderful trait to carry.

Thank you, Bethany, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
