She was an absolute ray of sunshine, ensuring that my daughter, who was 9 months pregnant at the time, got something to eat. She even used her own phone to show my grandson videos to distract him from the IV in his arm.
Betsy's skills and compassion are excellent. My husband was in critical condition and agitated. She kept a very positive and upbeat atmosphere for us. Betsy was very proactive and stayed on top of all that was happening with his symptoms. She also extended her care to me and convinced me to go home to rest. We are both very thankful for her care!

Every time I have had to work with Betsy, she's always so kind and friendly. Betsy seems to bring a smile to everyone's faces - patients, coworkers, and everyone else. She's good at what she does, isn't afraid to help others if she’s struggling, and shares her knowledge and care everywhere she goes. Betsy also calls everyone friend which brings such an inviting environment.

My daughter and I recently brought my 2-year-old grandson to the hospital because he was hypoglycemic and was at high risk of having a seizure as a result, due to a preexisting condition. We spent most of the day in the hospital, and Betsy walked in later in the day to say that she was taking over his care. She was an absolute ray of sunshine, ensuring that my daughter, who was 9 months pregnant at the time, got something to eat. She even used her own phone to show my grandson videos to distract him from the IV in his arm. She answered all the questions we had, along with questions we didn't think to ask in the moment. That night he was moved to different unit because he was staying for observation. She coordinated the move and did everything she could to make sure that my daughter and grandson were comfortable for the night. When I left that evening, she escorted me back to the hospital entrance where my car was and gave me a big hug and assured me that they would be taken care of. Betsy was a ray of sunshine from the moment that she walked into our room in the hospital until she ended her shift that night. I am a manager in the customer service industry, and I know how important it is for customers/patients to be able to tell that you love your job and Betsy passed this test with flying colors. She is a true asset, and I can only hope that her value is appreciated by Unity Point-Finley Hospital in Dubuque. Thank you so much, Betsy!!
