It is with great gratitude that we would like to recognize our Vice President (VP) and Chief Nursing Officer (CNO), Betsy Brakovich for her leadership and dedication to the Wellstar Windy Hill team. Over the past year, Betsy has empowered the Windy Hill team to tell their story and showcase the positive practice environment, which resulted in Windy Hill being awarded the Georgia Oglethorpe Award from the Sterling Council, and the American Nurse’s Credentialing Center’s Pathway to Excellence Designation®. Both recognitions serve as a testament to Betsy’s leadership in providing a setting where compassion is valued, and staff, in turn, treat patients and their families with deep humanity.

Despite the many demands of her role as VP and CNO across two campuses that make up Windy Hill, Betsy is accessible to her team members and fosters a culture of shared decision-making by engaging with front-line team members and leaders to facilitate change. We are grateful for Betsy’s advocacy for her Windy Hill team, and for ensuring the team has the appropriate resources to sustain a positive practice environment.
