Betsy Cisson, RN

Betsy recently cared for a patient with an unsurvivable illness whose family was struggling with making end-of-life decisions. This patient had a teenage daughter who was overwhelmed by the situation. I found Betsy sitting side-by-side with her as she held her mother’s hand. Betsy spoke so gently and compassionately with her to help her try to comprehend what was happening and her emotions. I believe this time and attentiveness she gave will forever influence how this young girl views her mother’s sudden death.
