I am deeply grateful to have had Betty as my nurse during my hospital stay in PACU. Being in the hospital can be a scary time, even though I am a nurse working in the same organization. The fear and anxiety were pretty evident, I thought I was brave enough.
Postoperatively, waking up in PACU after a minor procedure, Betty was one of the most compassionate and considerate nurses in the room. Betty confidently assured me that I was in good hands. She checked on me almost every 30 minutes, even though she was taking care of her other patients. I have never experienced such wonderful care anywhere else.
Betty's great and compassionate care extended beyond my discharge process. When she discovered my friends were not available to get me home, she unhesitatingly volunteered to take me home. Betty and her husband drove me safely home on a dark summer night. That was an amazing gesture of a nurse and colleague!!!
I cannot find enough words to express my sincere gratitude for the tremendously loving care she bestowed to me. Betty has a great big heart for the patients that she cares for every day.
