Betty is especially fond of the residents in our memory care unit. She takes time to understand and to know their needs and to work with the families so that the best care possible is given to them.
Betty is an extraordinary person and nurse. She truly is an example of "Where Loving-Kindness Lives" as she treats every resident as a separate individual with the utmost respect. Betty has been with Cokesbury Village for several years and has earned the respect of all her co-workers.
A few years back, a car crashed through the front entrance of our building, and Betty was one of the first responders who helped rescue and treat the residents who were injured. Her leadership skills were prominent that day. Every day, Betty makes a special effort to visit all the residents in the dining room to speak with each one and help them with their meals, sometimes jumping in to help serve even though her workload can be challenging. Betty is especially fond of the residents in our memory care unit. She takes time to understand and to know their needs and to work with the families so that the best care possible is given to them. Betty will take the time to help and answer questions from her co-workers (such as me) who do not have any education in the medical field, especially regarding people who have memory issues, so that we (I) can understand and provide the best care.
She told me that she loves the residents and her job and is proud of her work. As stated above, Betty has been at Cokesbury Village for a long time. The love and care she extends to both residents and coworkers is returned tenfold.
