Recently, Betty Lou was given a patient that had cancer. Not only did she provide him professional care, but she also went the extra mile to stop and console him and his wife and assured him that she was here for him. The patient wanted to be done with inpatient care and sent home with hospice care. Betty Lou did everything in her power to ensure that was done for him in an appropriate and quick manner. As a patient care assistant who plans to further her education, Betty Lou is the nurse whom I would like to be in the next few years. She does excellent and precise work and is always a delightful person to be around and she definitely is able to spread that joy to her patients.
