A family was traveling through Joplin when one of them was struck with a medical crisis and went to the Community Clinic. The medical needs required them to be seen here at Mercy Hospital and had been here for several hours. Betty was working in ICU that night and noticed the family. She asked if they had eaten yet and was told no, she gave her personal credit card to the volunteer and asked him to order pizza for the family. The volunteer was so struck by this that he went to the clinic the next morning to tell them what had happened. He said that it was apparent that God was working with the family, the Mercy staff and the Clinic staff that day.
