The OTP clinic becomes part of your everyday life, and us veterans are not always the easiest to work with. This nurse, however, handles us with a sense of grace. This nurse makes you feel welcomed every day; this nurse remembers milestones and interactions you've had and constantly ensures you know vital information, non-vital information, and things that help you with your daily life struggles. This nurse often goes to bat for you, ensures that you're taken care of, and ensures you're remembering to take care of your issues. At one point, when I had to bring my children and wife with me, this nurse would bring in carrots to let my children feed the groundhogs outside the clinic. A memory my children bring up often and will have for life. This nurse shows an exemplary sense of dedication, motivation, empathy, passion, and more, which we need more of today in this world.
