Beverly has been a lifesaver for us as my son, S, has a treatment every two weeks and requires an IV. As he gets older, it has become increasingly difficult to get the IV started which means he gets poked many times. We are so thankful that the Ambulatory team suggested Beverly.
Beverly is extremely caring and gentle. Her ability to find S's veins and insert an IV is amazing. She takes her time and ensures that she is confident and comfortable before poking him. She always makes a stressful situation much more relaxed. Not only is she professional and knowledgeable, but she also has a heart of gold. She changed her schedule several times to meet our needs and made sure she was working on our appointments.
Beverly also suggested to the Ambulatory manager to purchase a vein finder for patients like S so it would be easier for the staff to find his veins when she was not around. She also advocated for a port-a-cath for S and spoke to Dr. W about it.
We are so thankful and really appreciate Beverly and everything she does for our precious son. Beverly is a real asset to Joe DiMaggio.
