Beverly Shirk demonstrates true compassion for her patients and families. She balances meeting complex needs of her patients while encouraging positive coping strategies. You will often find her at a computer showing the patient and family various studies as she explains their injuries in a way that is easy to understand.
Even though she is not a direct caregiver, she expedites information flow from the Pediatric Trauma team and other disciplines. She consistently serves as a role model for the nursing professional and ancillary staff.
