December 2023 Honoree
Bhriller Russ, RN
My husband was admitted with what we thought to be “non-recovering” pneumonia. Within hours, we are faced with a lung cancer diagnosis with possible metastasis to the liver.
On Monday, while my husband was recovering from a biopsy, I was waiting in his room quite tearfully. Bhriller came in and spoke to me about his diagnosis and what the next steps could be, and encouraged me to share our story. She gave me a light at that moment. She gave support, honesty, and compassion.
Bhriller was funny, light-hearted, compassionate, and knowledgeable in caring for my husband.

Thank you, Bhriller, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
