My wife and I live in Florida. My mother lives in St. Louis and is mostly cared for by other family members. After she was admitted it was difficult to get information from my family or the doctors. We called the nurses station and spoke with Bianca who was the nurse assigned to my mother that day. We spoke for about 20 minutes. Because of the situation, I was on a plane and at St. Luke's the following morning. I met Bianca and was able to witness first hand her caring concern, knowledge and compassion. Bianca called my wife, an RN, and kept her informed in medical terms - this was way beyond the call of duty. When she was not assigned to Mom, she would stop by to see how she was doing. Thanks, Bianca for taking a terrible situation and making it better by just being kind, competent and compassionate. My wife and I both believe that you very well may have saved my mother's life. We need more like you!
