Bianca Nogueras, RN
I would like to formally and wholeheartedly recognize my nurse, Bianca, for her extraordinary compassion, advocacy, and unwavering dedication to patient care.
From the very beginning of my admission, Bianca has gone far beyond what is expected as a nurse. During my time with MRI and severe pain and uncertainty about what was happening with my body, she not only was my nurse, she was my strongest advocate and my greatest source of comfort.
She was the only nurse who consistently listened to me, truly listened. She never dismissed my concerns. Instead, she validated my experience, took my pain and symptoms seriously, and made sure that the medical team understood what I was going through. She went above and beyond in managing my pain and advocating for appropriate interventions and follow-up on all concerns. She made sure my voice was heard.
What makes her exceptional is not only her clinical skill but her heart. She brought humanity into a situation that could have often felt so isolating. Her presence alone has made me feel safer. She treated me with dignity, respect, and genuine care at a time I felt most vulnerable because of her. I have felt seen and helped.
Nurses like her are the reason patients heal not just physically, but emotionally and spiritually. Bianca embodies everything this award stands for. Extraordinary clinical excellence, deep compassion, and fierce patient advocacy.
