During my son’s treatment for Hirschsprung disease, he underwent multiple surgeries and lived with a colostomy for nearly six months. As a parent, learning how to care for this was overwhelming and frightening. One of the nurses showed extraordinary compassion and patience by carefully teaching and guiding me through every step of my son’s care. She never rushed me, answered all my questions kindly, and even allowed me to contact her outside of duty hours whenever I felt worried or unsure.

Her reassurance and dedication gave me confidence and emotional strength during one of the hardest times of my life. Thanks to her care, my son successfully completed his treatment, and his colostomy has now been removed. She not only contributed to my son’s healing but also supported my emotional well-being as a parent.

She represents everything a nurse should be. She did not see us as just another case; she saw us as people who needed support, understanding, and hope. She is an exceptional nurse who truly embodies the spirit of compassion, professionalism, and selfless care.
