Nurse Bilen was a blessing to me as a very thorough nurse and friend for a time during my treatment. She listened to my concerns and we shared inspirational stores that built up my spirits during a time when my blood counts were dropping quickly. She reminded me that I was a winner, even as my body gave way to the chemo. It is important to note, that she was extremely timely with care, request and needs, while still making time to be a guardian angel to me. Her total humanity and personal concern for my mental and physical wellness will be, and has been an example to me of a kindness that goes beyond her job.
