My IV had backed out of the vein and was preventing the nurse from administering my medication. I had several episodes of discomfort and pain. Bill came into my room, assessed the IV site and removed the old IV and restarted an IV in my hand. This was after his shift had ended. He was patient and empathetic and was assigned to me the next evening and was able to get my pain under control.
