April 2025 Honoree
Billie Deshetler Deshetler, RN
I was admitted to the ER for chest pain and shortness of breath. When I was hooked up to the EKG machine, the doctor stated that I was not having a heart attack. Billie saw something in my face and had the doctor run a Torpine test to verify if it really was a heart attack. Billie was the person who told me that I was having a heart attack; Billie is the one who advocated for me to get the proper testing. Billie explained everything that they were doing to me and why they were doing it. I owe Billie my life for seeing something and forcing tests to be done.
Thank you, Billie Deshetler, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
