Billy Ingolo, BSN, RN

Billy is the go-to person for everything. He is always pleasant, quick to help out all patients and his colleagues. He tries to make all persons around him feel comfortable and never hesitates to share knowledge. Billy has only been on 3 South for 1 year and has already been the "chosen one" to precept, as he is so skilled and highly recommended. He has had to deal with some tough personal circumstances, but has yet to lose his caring and compassionate spirit. He will give you a hug if you need it. Let you cry on his shoulder if you need it. Buy you a snack if you need it. I have witnessed him de-escalate difficult familial situations and also provide comfort to the family that found him in a very unfortunate situation. Honestly, the entire 3 South is grateful for his addition to the team. He is the ideal nurse, and I am so proud to work beside him. My hope is that he wins the DAISY Award not only because he is deserving, but because nurses like him always get looked over and never recognized. I must say that when I think of who a Memorial Hermann nurse should embody, it is Billy 100%!
