As a true nurse leader, she led the unit safely with a limited number of nurses during the crisis.
Binimol Jacob is well known and accepted by our whole unit and always an asset for our Parkland family for more than 15 years with her excellent service. Binimol dedicated her role as an assistant unit manager (AUM)/charge nurse (CN)/preceptor/resource RN to our institution.

Binimol’s always shows her compassionate spirit to Parkland patients. Her smart work consistently supports our unit in the middle of chaos. Many times, I noticed that she is capable of work as both charge nurse and primary nurse with lots of good spirits when we have a shortage of staff in the unit that proves her ability to work under chaos and pressure. If she works as a charge nurse, she is excellent to run the unit smoothly by meeting the needs of all other fellow nurses and all staff seems very comfortable and peaceful. All providers are also very happy when she runs the unit as an AUM/CN. She knows how to be productive to the institution by providing high-quality care to our patient population. Binimol’s communication and respect to providers and other staff is also very effective.

As an AUM, Binimol is the backbone of the unit along with UM, providers, nurses, and all other ancillary staff. Her conflict resolution skill is very effective. Her collaborative skills to coordinate our staff as a team is remarkable. In the initial weeks of the pandemic as a procedural area, our unit was required to adopt many new changes. Binimol’s initiatives during the initial period were outstanding. She is the best resource person for our unit with knowledge and skills.

I would like to focus on Binimol’s recent great team effort and success to run the unit during the inclement weather crisis. That week, our unit was exhausted with patients from all over the Dallas area. Our unit completed our mission without breaking any patient safety during the crisis. As a true nurse leader, she led the unit safely with a limited number of nurses during the crisis. I would like to express my sincere gratitude for all of the roles that Binimol took on during that special occasion.

My words are very short to express Binimol’s excellent services to Parkland. She deserves this honor due to her exemplary service to our institution for several years. I am happy to use my Parkland privilege to acknowledge my Binimol’s priceless services to the Parkland family.
