I am 62 years old, disabled patient for 3 years now. I can't walk, I only ambulate per wheelchair. I was admitted more than 7 times and I am very happy to be here in RCH. I was handled by a lot of nurses but there is this one nurse who deserved to receive the DAISY award.
First, Binju is always smiling every time she goes inside the patient's room. Second, there was one time when she asked to draw a blood sample from me. I was not ready that time and I talked to her in a very bad way and I refused to have my blood drawn, but she was very polite with me, talked with a good smile and continues to do her duty. Third, when I was transferred in from ICU to the ward, I was so happy to see that I will be under the care of Ms. Binju. She fixed the cannula properly, even though it is very difficult to find me a good vein. And that kind smile is always there every time she goes into my room.
