During one of the most difficult times in my family's lives, she went above and beyond in the care for my father. The amount of detail, patience, and hospitality she showed not only to my father but also to our family was impeccable and for that, we could never thank her enough. Every day, Blanca showed up with a kind, comforting smile and she wouldn't leave until all questions were answered. We are eternally grateful for the care Blanca showed our father and our family. We believe this care is deserving of recognition.
Since Blanca is bilingual, she was able to communicate with my father and my family. She directly explained every detail she could to my dad so that he could have a full understanding of his surroundings even though he was very confused. Blanca also gave the same care to my family who is more comfortable speaking in Spanish than in English which allowed for a more comfortable setting in the hospital. It truly meant the world to us all.
As a nurse, I know it is a profession where we have some of the biggest critics, but the professionalism from Blanca exceeded all expectations.
We believe she went above and beyond Shannon's expectations and have no doubt that she treats every patient and family with the same respect and professionalism she did with ours. I can only hope that if my family ever encounters another hospital again, we have a nurse as sweet and as caring as Blanca.
