Blanca Macias in ICU is an outstanding professional. When she first entered my mother's room, she greeted both of us and then proceeded to position her in a most comfortable position. She cleaned, organized and arranged the room which was very pleasing to me. She took exceptional care of my mother and answered all my questions. What's exceptional about her? Blanca went above and beyond the norm in caring, treating my mother and in supportive care for me. She ordered/recommended a cooling blanket, a fan, special bed etc. Most impressive is that she checked on her daily and assisted us with concern and compassion every day, even though we were no longer her assigned patient.
She really cares and is very compassionate with my Mom. She utilized lab values and incorporated them in her daily plan. She saw me praying and joined me in prayer. She checked up on Mom as well as me daily! She was very concerned over our plight and was an advocate for us with the physicians. Your nurses are amazing, professional and caring but Blanca is exceptional in so many ways!
