She possesses a remarkable ability to connect with nurses, patients, and families on a deeply personal level.
As a nurse educator, Blandine’s influence reaches far beyond clinical instruction. For more than seven years, Blandine has led the Heme/Onc and Sickle Cell education with exceptional skill and dedication, consistently exceeding expectations in her role.

She possesses a remarkable ability to connect with nurses, patients, and families on a deeply personal level, offering not only education and expertise, but also empathy, reassurance, and unwavering support during some of life’s most difficult moments. Patients and families consistently praise her kindness, attentiveness, and compassionate approach to care. Simultaneously, Blandine fosters a positive and supportive learning environment for staff, encouraging teamwork, collaboration, and professional growth among her colleagues.

Her passion for teaching and commitment to improving the patient and family experience have had a profound and lasting impact across our organization.

Her dedication to this vulnerable population extends even further through her leadership of the annual Sickle Cell Fashion Show, now entering its third year. This inspiring event creates an opportunity for children and families living with sickle cell disease to celebrate their strength, resilience, and individuality while strengthening connections among patients, families, and staff.

Blandine serves as an extraordinary role model whose kindness, leadership, and commitment to excellence inspire everyone around her and are so deserving of today's DAISY Nurse Educator Award.
