Dear Blas, you blessed our family beyond measure during the most stressful and horrific two months of our lives. Only an angel could have cared for W and our family as you did, and I’ll forever be grateful for you and your expertise. Your guidance enabled me to care for W with love and dignity and I couldn’t have done it without you, especially when he passed away. “Thank you” seems so inadequate for all you did for us.

Blas Carambas has been a cherished asset to our SAC hospice time for quite some time. He’s been serving our members since September of 2002. To say Blas is an exceptional nurse would be an understatement. He is a confident nurse who is skilled in his craft that provides comfort and reassurance to patients and families in such needed times. Blas is compassionate, Blas is kind, Blas is professional. He puts patients' and family’s needs first 100% of the time. He takes his time during visits to build connections and rapport with his patients and their loved ones. Blas is forward-thinking and proactive in the care he provides, he anticipates the patients' needs and follows through. Blas is passionate about hospice and persistently advocates for his patients. Blas embodies our “speak up” culture and is vocal. Blas is always professional but never hesitant to bring forth constructive criticism for the betterment of the team. He has participated in many performance improvement projects, and always provides recommendations for change for the improvement of our agency and care experience. Blas is a natural-born leader for our team and is always willing to assist his colleagues. Blas is a true gem and it’s a privilege to have him on our team.
