During patient rounds I spoke with a patient that really wanted to recognize Blossom Sebastian. She went on to say, with tears, that she was from Africa and that she has had Sickle Cell Disease since age 3, she's currently 28. She said that no one has ever treated her with such respect. She said that Blossom treated her like family. Blossom made her realize that not all family has to be blood relative.
