Bobbi's responsiveness to these early pregnancy concerns means so much to the patients that she interacts with.
A patient early in her pregnancy called the clinic with concerns about cramping. She had not yet been seen for the pregnancy and has a history of miscarriages. The patient was very anxious about this and worried there may be a problem with the pregnancy. Bobbi reassured the patient regarding her symptoms and contacted me about this. An ultrasound was needed within a couple of days to assess the situation, but acute ultrasound access is extremely limited. Bobbi was able to arrange an ultrasound within a couple of days at a nearby MCHS location that was convenient for the patient. I was going to be out of town when the result returned. In my absence, Bobbi watched for the ultrasound result and contacted me with it. Bobbi was able to contact the patient with reassuring results, support the patient in the difficult situation and provide her with a plan.

Earlier this week, another one of my patients called in early in the second trimester and was anxious about the pregnancy. Bobbi offered to have her come in on the same day for an RN visit to listen to the baby's heartbeat. The patient came in and was very reassured and happy to be offered that opportunity.

Early pregnancy is a high-stress time for many patients, particularly those with prior poor pregnancy outcomes, so Bobbi's responsiveness to these early pregnancy concerns means so much to the patients that she interacts with, and I have received this positive feedback from patients about Bobbi many times.

These are just two examples of how Bobbi is extremely reliable, finds innovative solutions to problems to make sure our patients get the care they need, and how she truly goes above and beyond every single day. She always does this with a smile and with care and compassion for our patients. I could give countless examples of situations in which she has made arrangements for patients to get the care they need in Rochester or outside of the Mayo System in a timely manner by going above and beyond to make extra phone calls to explain the situation or research alternative available options. She is also amazing at tracking down outside information necessary for the patients' care within MCHS. She often does this work without being asked or recognized for it. Bobbi is also always willing to take on new duties and share her knowledge with others. She never complains and always has a positive attitude. She is a positive example to the team she works with and is a role model of Mayo values. She is a true DAISY Nurse.
