May 2015 Honoree
bobbi rychlick, RN
Bobbi was caring for a patient who was dying unexpectedly. The plan was to withdraw care the following day at which time the patient would go to the OR for organ donation. The patient's significant other wanted to sleep in bed with her on their last night together. The patient was intubated with a feeding tube, IVs, a foley, and a rectal tube, and yet Bobbi made it work. She moved the patient over in bed and let the patient's significant other sleep with her for several hours. It meant so much to him to have that opportunity.
Thank you, Bobbi, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
