From my personal observations and encounters with Bonnie Croes, I believe she is the most competent, skillful, and caring nurse that I have ever met. I suffered severe pain for five months. My doctor prescribed two different ointments, but I could not put them on my wound correctly so I brought it up to Bonnie. She listened patiently and guided my hands to reach my wounds effectively. She not only assisted me with the ointment, but patiently and skillfully taught me how so I can take care of myself. Eventually, my problems were resolved.

I also have many opportunities to observe Bonnie's interactions with her staff and Island House residents/families. My apartment is only four doors from Bonnie's care staff/medication room. I see on a daily basis how she communicates with kindness, patience and competence with all. Many residents come to her with pain/worries, Island House is short staffed. Indeed, I am most grateful for Bonnie's dedication and exemplary nursing among her staff, patients, and community, and after living at Island House for 16 years, I can confidently say Bonnie is the best nurse I have met.
