Bonnie is a nurse clinician in the MACC Fund Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders Clinic and works with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Team. Bonnie is a valued member of the team and goes above and beyond when she is providing care to the patients and their families. She understands that it takes a team to provide the best and safest care and she is a strong advocate for patient safety. Bonnie shows great passion for the work she does. She connects with the patients and families and collaborates with them to ensure that they have a good experience. Bonnie's patients and families know they will get the best care possible every time they walk into the MACC Fund Center Clinic.
Bonnie not only provides outstanding care to the patients and families, but she is also invested in her professional development. Bonnie recently became certified as a pediatric hematology oncology nurse and presented a poster at the national pediatric hematology-oncology nursing conference last year on the Comprehensive Leukemia and Lymphoma Clinic. She has also presented to our new nursing staff as part of their orientation curriculum on the nursing care of the leukemia patient.

At every appointment, Bonnie treats us so wonderfully it is hard to explain the feeling. She has called me a few times to share extra information and ideas that were not required of her to do. Bonnie also helped coordinate a very cool and special "adoption" of my son and his siblings for Christmas. She makes the impression to me that she goes above and beyond her duties as a nurse and keeps my family in her thoughts.
