I'm not sure there are adequate words to express our gratitude for every nurse we met, but Bonnie stands out. She gave us such confidence in mom's care as she was transferred to the ICU. She gently, yet with authority borne of many years of experience, explained everything to us and even joined several family members in the ICU waiting room to talk us through a DNR decision. Her energy, extensive knowledge, kindness, and sensitivity made a difficult time seem less so. We now call her a friend and are grateful for her touch on our mom's and our lives.
